Overview

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) is seeking a Quality Coordinator to oversee processes to review quality of work across all Cuyahoga DD departments (to ensure that Cuyahoga DD operates within the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DoDD). Coordinate, assess, and evaluate relevant training for internal Cuyahoga DD employees and external partners related to quality assurance review outcomes. Gather information relate to DoDD provider compliance reviews/citations of Cuyahoga DD work in order to propose plan of correction or appeal for Cuyahoga DD and identify systemic issues related to this citation for overall improvement plan. Lead efforts for ongoing accreditation assessment, coordination, and review.  The nature of work will include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Regularly review Cuyahoga DD work for quality, specifically including Individual Service Plans, Targeted Case Management notes, other case notes, assessments, reviews, and other required documentation. Identify trends/patterns related to both timelines/required elements and person-centered services and supports. Assist administrators as needed with information to address areas of deficiency or recognize excellent quality of work.
  • Investigate and gather information related to DODD citations of Cuyahoga DD work. Propose Cuyahoga DD plan of correction or appeal within required timelines.
  • Identify systems issues or trends related to ongoing internal assessment of Cuyahoga DD work and DODD citations. Suggest, coordinate, and assist with development of training to address those trends as needed.
  • Work with management teams and other departments to identify when updates systems are required and assure these are completed in a timely manner. Facilitate as needed to make adjustments to content or methods.
  • Assist with provider training as necessary. and develop effective relationships with providers to continue support and enhance the quality-of-service provision.
  • Attend in-service training, staff/committee meetings, and other meetings as required. serve as liaison between internal departments, external partners, and providers.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing system that monitors, and measures all required County Board areas for accreditation. Report and address trends and patterns.
  • Assist with resolving compliance or quality issues with other departments, external partners and the state department.

PERSONAL CONTACTS: Daily contact with Cuyahoga DD staff. Regular contact with DODD staff and providers. Routine contact with people, families, other agencies, community partners and general public.

 

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Flexible work schedule; some evening and weekend meetings. Most activities will be carried out in Cuyahoga County requiring travel throughout the county. Occasional travel out of county.

 

SALARY:  The salary listed in the header is the base salary for all positions in Pay Schedule D.  It is important to understand that the actual starting salary will be determined based on many factors including the breadth and depth of the knowledge, skills, education and experiences brought by the candidate.  Also, it is Cuyahoga DD’s intent to pay each employee a salary that is reasonable and competitive based on the market rate for the position, while also considering not only internal equity but also the budgetary constraints.

Remote Work:  Our positions are not 100'% remote.  There is an onsite expectation for all of our positions.  Although we may permit some remote work at home with a hybrid work schedule for some of our positions, we do expect staff to be able to commute to our facilities in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on a regular basis.  Travel between our four locations in Parma, Cleveland, and Highland Hills, Ohio is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Services, or related field.
  • Developmental Disabilities (DD) experience and familiarity with DD waiver services, individual service planning, and provider compliance reviews preferred.
  • Experience with training and presentations, preferably including coordination of training opportunities. event planning, and project management.
  • Experience with web-based applications, data collection and analysis.
  • Valid state of Ohio driver's license and continued maintenance of excellent driving record.
