Overview

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) is seeking a Data Support Specialist to work in our Medicaid & Data Analytics (MDA) department to perform a wide range of technical, analytical, and reporting duties for the Medicaid & Data Analytics department.  The nature of work will include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve helpdesk tickets related to the routing and submission of the OISP, using Brittco, OnBase, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) portal, or a combination of the three. 
  • Monitor and analyze Targeted Case Management (TCM) data and associated revenue.  Identify unbillable TCM notes and instruct staff how to correct discrepancies to maximize revenue.
  • Enter utilization data against approved authorizations in Brittco for services funded through Family Supports and Local Funding.
  • Review and distribute monthly Patient Liability notices and communicate with DODD and providers as necessary to resolve inaccuracies.
  • Complete and distribute SA Productivity, Caseload Average, and other regularly scheduled reports in collaboration with the Data Management Supervisor.
  • Develop and prepare additional reports as assigned.
  • Participate in the Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC) Program in accordance with DODD rules and regulations and guidance from Cuyahoga DD MAC Coordinator.

UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES: Occasional travel to other Cuyahoga DD sites to provide training/technical assistance regarding electronic database. Occasional travel to attend meetings, conferences or specialized training may be required.

 

SALARY:  The minimum salary for Pay Schedule C is $47,000.  It is important to understand that the actual starting salary will be determined based on many factors including the breadth and depth of the knowledge, skills, education and experiences brought by the candidate.  Also, it is Cuyahoga DD’s intent to pay each employee a salary that is reasonable and competitive based on the market rate for the position, while also considering not only internal equity but also the budgetary constraints.

Remote Work:  Our positions are not 100'% remote.  There is an onsite expectation for all of our positions.  Although we may permit some remote work at home with hybrid work schedules for some of our positions, we do expect staff to be able to commute to our facilities in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on a regular basis.  We have facilities in Parma, Cleveland, and Highland Hills, Ohio. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required. Associate's degree in an analytical/technical field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data administration and integration.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.  Power BI or Tableau preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and continued maintenance of an excellent driving record.  For this reason, you will be asked to disclose your driver's license number as part of the application process.
